January 2002 Press Release Fort Worth's best recording studio just got a whole lot better. Founded in 1983, Eagle Audio Recording has hosted everyone from Grammy winner T-Bone Burnett to country legend Merle Haggard while serving a wide array of clients in radio, television and film. But that commitment to service and great sound went to a new level recently as Eagle unveiled its new Euphonics CS2000 mixing console, which president Jeff Ward says offers ``total recall.'' ``The board recalls everything -- every knob position, every setting and it can all be stored and recalled in one-thirtieth of a second, and stored forever,'' says Ward, who joined the staff in 89. ``You can come back in to do overdubs and the headphone mix is saved -- it's no longer and issue.'' Euphonix consoles are also used by Bruce Springsteen, CBS-TV and the San Francisco Opera, among many others; Eagle's 56-input system, which features an analog path with complete digital control and 24 channels of dynamics fully integrated into the console, gives anyone the ability to capture and save the finest detail when going from one session to the next, without spending time trying to replicate any of the settings from a previous session. It's all there, in less than a second. ``Because of this,'' says Ward, ``you can save a lot of time in the studio. And if you save time, you save money. You can also compare different mixes more easily.'' The new Euphonix console is just the latest innovation at the 7,000-square-foot studio. Located at 911 South Main, Eagle is just a two-minute drive south of Fort Worth's restaurant and nightlife rich downtown. The studio includes both a voiceover/production room and a comfortable main studio, designed by acoustic architect Russ Berger, featuring separate drum and isolation booths and a semi-isolated seven-foot Yamaha grand piano. Over the years, Eagle has produced literally hundreds of commercials, as well as the production numbers for the annual Miss Texas Pageant. Musical clients have included Johnny Reno, noted singer//songwriter Sam Phillips, Texas bluesmen Robert Ealey, Kenny Traylor and John Nitzinger, and rockers Space Opera. ``We've served the community for 18 years and we felt it was time to enhance what we can do for everyone from musicians to advertising, post-audio and film production professionals,'' says Ward. ``This helps us serve everyone better. Especially with the new console, we're competitive with the best studios in Dallas, Austin or Nashville.'' But hearing is really believing. Ward and staff are always more than happy to host a tour of the facility and talk about whatever project you have in mind. The studio is open 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or by appointment. Call (817)877-4338 or go to Eagle's Web site, www.eagleaudiorecording.com, for more information. |
